Who to contact
This notice explains how Scottish Energy Services handles personal information connected with enquiries and our energy-assessment and building-compliance services. Contact info@scottishenergyservices.co.uk, call 0141 255 1360, or write to 272 Bath St, Glasgow G2 4JR.
Information we use
Our website enquiry forms collect your name, email address, optional phone number, chosen service and message, together with the page from which you enquire. Your message may include property addresses and project information. We do not offer document uploads or customer accounts on this website.
During subsequent assessment work, you may provide photographs, plans, property information and assessment evidence by other means. Please avoid sending sensitive personal information or details about other people unless needed for the work.
Purposes and lawful bases
We use enquiry and project information to respond, prepare quotations and deliver requested services. Where you are entering a contract personally, this is necessary to take steps at your request before a contract or to perform it. For enquiries made on behalf of an organisation, our legitimate interests are handling business enquiries and providing professional services. Where a specific legal obligation requires record keeping or disclosure, we rely on that obligation.
Advertising tracking on this website relies on your consent. Rejecting advertising does not prevent you using the site or sending an enquiry. Sending an enquiry does not subscribe you to marketing.
Service providers and sharing
The website is hosted on Vercel. Cloudflare Turnstile checks form submissions for automated abuse, and Resend delivers enquiry emails to our business mailbox. These services process information needed for hosting, security and delivery. Google Ads is loaded only if you accept advertising technologies. We do not send your form fields to Google Ads through our event tracking.
Provider infrastructure may process information outside the UK. Contact us for information about processing locations and applicable safeguards. Our use of suppliers must be reviewed against their processing terms and transfer arrangements.
How long we keep information
- Unsuccessful enquiries: six months after last contact.
- General completed client and project records: six years.
- EPC assessment evidence and data: ten years where required by applicable Scottish EPC accreditation requirements.
- Marketing suppression records: as necessary to honour opt-outs, should marketing records be held.
A specific applicable retention requirement may override these periods. The EPC evidence requirement must be checked against the accreditation rules applying to the assessment.
Enquiries are sent by email; the website does not introduce a separate enquiry database. These periods apply to retained mailbox and project records. Provider logs, delivery records and backups are managed separately under their settings and policies; contact us for details.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances and lawful basis, you can request access, correction, erasure, restriction or portability of your information, and object to processing. You can withdraw advertising consent through Cookie settings in the footer. Withdrawal does not affect processing already lawfully carried out. Contact us using the details above; we may need to verify your identity.
You may complain to the Information Commissioner's Office. We would welcome the opportunity to address your concern first.
Cookies and changes
See our Cookie Policy for website technologies and choices. We update this notice when our processing changes.
